Are you ready to share your skills and passion for the CRNA industry through a role in MANA leadership? If you have insights and ideas on how to improve the association and further its members goals, then we invite you to run for a MANA Board of Director or District Director position.
The following Officer positions are open for a one-year term beginning 9/1/25 and ending 8/31/26
- President-Elect
- Vice President
- Secretary/Treasurer
The following District Director positions are open for a two-year term beginning 9/1/25 and ending 8/31/27
- District I Director
- Counties: Garrett, Allegany, Washington, Frederick, Carroll, Montgomery, and Howard.
- District III Director
- District V Director
- Counties: Prince George, Anne Arundel, Charles Calvert, and St. Mary's
Meetings & Time Commitment
- Monthly virtual board meetings, generally held in the evening for 1 hour
- 1 - 2 in-person board meetings per year, which often co-incide with state meetings in the spring and fall.
- Attendance at state meetings (Spring and Fall) and other MANA sponsored events.
- Participation in at least one MANA committee
As an elected board member, you will be involved with the following activities that include, but are not limited to:
- Become familiar with and make a commitment to MANA’s mission, purpose, and goals.
- Attend the Fall Meeting and other MANA-sponsored events.
- Serve as a board liaison to a MANA committee.
- Promote the CRNA profession and the advancement of the association where possible.
- Provide vision and direction for the future of MANA.
- Govern and direct the affairs of the association.
- Spend a few hours a month on MANA items.
- Support the MANA-PAC.
Consider nominating yourself or another MANA member today. The deadline for submitting a nomination is July 1, 2025.
President-Elect
- The President-Elect shall serve for a term of one year, succeeding to the office of President at the end of that year.
- Members eligible to serve the office of President-Elect or Vice President must have served on the Board of Directors of this Association within the last seven (7) years.
- The President Elect shall assume the duties of the President in the event of the President's inability to serve.
Vice President
- The Vice-President shall be elected by electronic vote prior to the annual meeting of this Association for a term of one (1) year, and shall be eligible for re-election, but shall not serve for more than two (2) consecutive terms.
- Members eligible to serve the office of President-Elect or Vice President must have served on the Board of Directors of this Association within the last seven (7) years.
- The Vice-President shall assume the duties of the President in the event of the President or President-Elect's inability to serve.
Secretary/Treasurer
- The Secretary/Treasurer shall serve for a term of one year and shall be eligible for re-election at the end of the term.
District Directors
Directors shall be elected to serve for two (2) years or until their successors are elected, and shall be eligible for re-election but shall not serve for more than two (2) consecutive terms.
Please note: Candidates do not need to live within one of the respective counties to be eligible to run for a district director position.
