The AANA Foundation serves as the leading resource for assuring safe anesthesia care through education and research.  

MANA Support of AANA Foundation's Student Scholarship Program

Each year, the Maryland Association of Nurse Anesthetists supports the AANA Foundation's Student Scholarship Program through a $3,000 sponsorship.  The Student Scholarship supports nurse anesthesia students through their nurse anesthesia program.  

In 2015, the scholarship was awarded to Shehzin Mozammel Palad at the University of Maryland School of Nursing Graduate Program for Nurse Anesthesia.

 

AANA Foundation State Advocates

 

AANA Foundation State Advocates are individuals that represent, support and promote the efforts and activities of the AANA Foundation at the state level both philosophically and financially. These volunteers present informational and educational materials to their state members at state meetings and act as liaisons between AANA Foundation staff and Board of Trustees and their state association.

MANA's advocate is Joseph Pellegrini, CRNA, PhD.

 


 

About the AANA Foundation

The AANA Foundation serves as the leading resource for assuring safe anesthesia care through education and research.  Established in 1981, the AANA Foundation is a charitable organization devoted to anesthesia research, education and development.  The Foundation serves as the philanthropic arm of the American Association of Nurse Anesthetists.  The Foundation funds scholarships, doctoral fellowships, post-doctoral fellowships, research grants, general poster sessions, oral "State of the Science" poster sessions and doctoral mentorships.  Rita L. LeBlanc Philanthropist of the Year, Advocate of the Year and Researcher of the Year Awards are presented annually by the AANA Foundation. 

Mission Statement
Advancing the science of anesthesia through education and research. As the philanthropic arm of the AANA, the Foundation raises funds and invests in projects that directly support the AANA Foundation and AANA priorities.
