2023-2024 MANA Board Nominations

We Want You!

Are you ready to share your skills and passion for the CRNA profession through a role in MANA leadership? If you have insights and ideas on how to improve the association and further its members' goals, then we invite you to run for a position on the MANA Board of Directors.

Service on the MANA Board of Directors means a time commitment of approximately one hour per month to participate in email conversations and up to four Board meetings per year.  The MANA Board of Directors meets virtually in January, March, and June and in person during the Fall Meeting. The Board is charged with setting the strategic direction and upholding the mission of the association.

The following Officer positions are open:

  • President-Elect
    • One-year term beginning 9/1/23 and ending 8/31/24
  • Vice President
    • One-year term beginning 9/1/23 and ending 8/31/24
  • Secretary/Treasurer
    • One-year term beginning 9/1/23 and ending 8/31/24

The following District Director positions are open: 

  • District I Director (Garrett, Allegany, Washington, Frederick, Carroll, Montgomery, and Howard)
    • Two-year term beginning 9/1/23 and ending 8/31/25
  • District III Director (Baltimore City)
    • Two-year term beginning 9/1/23 and ending 8/31/25
  • District V Director (Prince George, Anne Arundel, Charles, Calvert, and St. Mary's)
    • Two-year term beginning 9/1/23 and ending 8/31/25

As an elected board member, you will be involved with the following activities with responsibilities that include, but are not limited to:

      • Become familiar with and make a commitment to MANA’s mission, purpose, and goals.
      • Attend the Fall Meeting and other MANA-sponsored events.
      • Serve as a board liaison to a MANA committee.
      • Promote the CRNA profession and the advancement of the association where possible.
      • Provide vision and direction for the future of MANA.
      • Govern and direct the affairs of the association.
      • Spend a few hours a month on MANA items.
      • Support the MANA-PAC.

 

Information on eligibility and the duties of each position

* No officer or member of the Board of Directors of the AANA may hold office in this Association.

President-Elect

      • The President-Elect shall serve for a term of one year, succeeding to the office of President at the end of that year.
      • No member shall be eligible for President-Elect who has not served on the MANA Board for at least one year.
      • The President Elect shall assume the duties of the President in the event of the President's inability to serve.

Vice President

      • The Vice President shall serve for a term of one year and shall be eligible for re-election at the end of the term.
      • No member shall be eligible for the Vice President who has not served on the MANA Board for at least one year.
      • The Vice-President shall assume the duties of the President in the event of the President or President-Elect's inability to serve.

Secretary/Treasurer

      • The Secretary/Treasurer shall serve for a term of one year and shall be eligible for re-election at the end of the term.

District Directors

      • Directors shall be elected to serve for two years and shall be eligible for re-election at the end of their term.

Please note: Candidates do not need to live within one of the respective counties to be eligible to run for a district director position.
